Who We Are
Blackbird's Petals & Produce is a small plant nursery and produce and flower farm in Holly Hill, Florida. Our mission is to provide fresh and nutritious homegrown produce that nourishes the body and beautiful blooms that uplift the soul, while improving our environment. Our small farm produces a variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and microgreens, which we offer through our three distinct seasonal Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and subscription services.
Blackbird's Petals & Produce (CSA) offers a unique experience that allows members to engage with their food in fun and fulfilling ways. A highlight of this CSA is the chance for members to pick their own produce. This hands-on approach not only enhances the enjoyment of sourcing food but also fosters a stronger connection with the land and the community.
We're dedicated to employing the environmentally friendly principles and practices of regenerative agriculture and permaculture. Thus, we refrain from using any harmful chemicals on our farm.

Blackbird's Petals & Produce also specializes in shrubs and flowers that are native to Florida and the Southeast. We feature many native host and nectar plants. Our organically grown plants may include a delightful surprise for wildlife enthusiasts - caterpillar eggs, larvae, or chrysalis. These future butterflies and moths do not cause any long-term damage to the plant. Rather, their presence indicates that the plants are already supporting biodiversity, maintaining the health and balance of local ecosystems, and promoting ecological resilience and sustainability.
About Our Founder
Lisa Spruill, proprietor and farmer, created Blackbird's Petals & Produce from a deep-rooted passion for agriculture and a vision for a sustainable future. Lisa's journey began as an elementary education science teacher 30 years ago in Boston, Massachusetts. After retiring from teaching, Lisa focused on herbal medicine, earning a certificate from the Herbal Academy. The vision for Blackbird's Petals & Produce stems from a commitment to environmental stewardship and using plants for nutrition and wellness, like her Cherokee ancestors from the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina.
