This variety called Florida Sunset, displays orange blooms and grows about 3' tall. Crossandra thrives in warm and humid environments. It is a perennial in warm climate hardiness zones 9-11, such as Central Florida. Crossandra is a pollinator magnet for butterflies and dragonflies. Plant Crossandra in well-draining soil amended with organic matter. Crossandra prefers moist, not soggy soil. Fertilizer once a month during the Spring and Summer, and once every other month in the Autumn and Winter.
